1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using RiteTravels' car rental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use our service.

2. Rental Requirements

To rent a vehicle from RiteTravels, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age (additional fees may apply for drivers under 25).
  • Possess a valid driver's license that has been held for at least one year.
  • Provide a valid credit card in the renter's name for the security deposit.
  • Present valid proof of insurance or purchase our insurance coverage.
  • International renters must provide a valid passport and international driver's permit where applicable.

3. Booking and Payment

All bookings are subject to vehicle availability. Payment terms include:

  • A valid credit card is required at the time of booking for reservation guarantee.
  • Full payment is due at the time of vehicle pick-up unless otherwise arranged.
  • A security deposit will be held on your credit card and released upon satisfactory vehicle return.
  • Additional charges may apply for extra services, fuel, toll charges, and damages.
  • All prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes and fees.

4. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

The rented vehicle must be used in accordance with the following conditions:

  • The vehicle may only be driven by authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.
  • The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes, racing, or towing.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles; violation will result in a cleaning fee.
  • The vehicle must not be taken outside the approved geographical area without prior authorization.
  • Pets are not permitted unless previously arranged and approved.
  • The vehicle capacity and weight limits must not be exceeded.

5. Insurance and Liability

Basic liability insurance is included in all rentals. However, the renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period. Optional coverage includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), and Extended Protection. The renter is liable for all damage, theft, or loss of the vehicle unless additional insurance coverage has been purchased.

6. Fuel Policy

RiteTravels operates a full-to-full fuel policy. The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, refueling charges will apply at a premium rate plus a service fee. Fuel receipts must be kept as proof of refueling if required.

7. Cancellations and Modifications

Cancellation and modification policies are as follows:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pick-up time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24-48 hours before pick-up may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pick-up or no-shows will be charged the full rental amount.
  • Modifications to bookings are subject to vehicle availability and may incur additional charges.
  • In case of early return, no refund will be provided for unused rental days.

8. Vehicle Return

The vehicle must be returned by the agreed date and time. Late returns are subject to additional charges:

  • A grace period of 30 minutes is provided for returns.
  • Returns more than 30 minutes late will be charged for an additional day.
  • The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location in the same condition as received.
  • All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle upon return.
  • Keys must be returned to RiteTravels staff; drop-off in drop boxes is not permitted without prior arrangement.

9. Accidents and Breakdowns

In the event of an accident or breakdown, the renter must immediately notify RiteTravels and the relevant authorities. An accident report must be completed and submitted to RiteTravels within 24 hours. The renter must not admit liability or make any agreements with third parties without RiteTravels' consent. Failure to report accidents or unauthorized repairs may result in the renter being held fully liable for all damages and costs.

10. Limitation of Liability

RiteTravels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service. RiteTravels is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or any inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of RiteTravels services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. We take data protection seriously and implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.

12. Modifications to Terms

RiteTravels reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
